Why Choose a Residential Care Home?

Why choose a Residential Care Home?

One of the reasons I enjoy a “buffet” is because every delicious thing is on display, which allows me the freedom to choose what I like. Unfortunately in the long term care living arena you are often times not provided with ALL the available choices for your loved one.  There are memory care, Independent Living, Nursing Home, Adult Family Care Homes and Assisted Living to name a few:  and if you ask any aging senior, they will tell you they want to stay in their own homes for as long as possible. A wonderful solution that’s not often presented as a viable option are the Adult family Care Homes, Assisted Living & Memory Care facilities in a PRIVATE HOME.  So why should you choose one? Consider this.

Were you aware that an Adult Family Care Home and or Assisted living Facility in a PRIVATE HOME offers the same services as the institutional setting.

Did you know that just like the large communities our Doctors, Home Health, Labs, Podiatry, Optometry and Pharmacy all make “House Calls?”  Unless a specialist is required, your family will not need to sit for hours in a waiting room.

What if I told you that when you select an Adult Family Care Home, the OWNER lives on site with your loved one. (Now that’s Commitment).

Unlike the larger communities where you have 2 or 3 dedicated staff for 20 or so residents, the Residential Care Homes offer 1/2 care team members for 5/6 residents.  This ratio provides more person to person 1/1 care.

We hope that you are able to have these conversations with your family before it is necessary.  Like you I had to make this difficult decision in my own family, and I was unaware of the myriad of choices available to me. As you begin this journey in your selection, please use our website as a resource You will be able to speak with the owners of these Residential Care Homes directly or email us at “”

As one 88 year old client puts it “We Don’t want to live in the long building with the old people. ” That is a very clear visualization of the wants and desires of our aging seniors. --
