Caring for Someone with Dementia
September 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm CDT| Free
A new dementia diagnosis can bring with it a whirlwind of stress, confusion and anxiety about what to expect as the disease progresses. Nearly 60% of caregivers who care for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia rate the emotional stress of caregiving as high or very high (Dementia Caregiving in the US 2017 Study).
This month’s webinar will offer a how-to look at caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or other dementias. The emphasis will be on the care and dignity of the individual to help them live a more fulfilling life. It will also detail a person-centered approach to help successfully manage symptoms and positively engage the individual with the disease.
