Learn more about your health and available resources for healthy living at the first Aurora Health Jam, 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 26, in the Large Community Room at Aurora Central Library, 14949 E. Alameda Parkway
The Aurora Health Jam is focused on addressing health disparities in the community. This free event for the whole family is being hosted by ReACT (Responding to Aurora's Critical Topics), which collaborates with the city's Community Relations Division.
From food and economic stability to education and housing, the Aurora Health Jam will bring together dental, physical and behavioral health exhibitors and also a wide-range of community partners who are dedicated to helping residents live well. Exhibitors will share resources on health and wellness for families and individuals.
Attendees can get a voucher for free microchip service from the Aurora Animal Shelter, healthy food options from Same Cafe, housing-option information from Habitat for Humanity, safety discussions from the Aurora Police Department, and much more.
