The City of Naples Christmas Parade is a tradition, which brings together children of all ages in the spirit of community. It is a time where families and friends gather to teach the rituals and traditions handed down throughout the generations. On Tuesday, December 10th from 6 pm – 8 pm, the 10th Annual City of Naples Christmas Parade will launch from Broad Avenue S. and commence down Third Street S. to Fifth Avenue S. and eventually down 8th Street S. past City Hall.
Five years ago, we began filming the parade to show it live on Comcast 98, the City’s Channel. It can also be viewed on the City’s website and on Facebook. Filming the parade allows us to showcase the holiday magic for those who are unable to attend - people like our “seasoned citizens” and those in assisted living facilities and hospitals. Many businesses cannot close up shop, so we bring the Christmas parade to them to share with their employees and customers.
Four years ago, the City graciously relocated bleachers across from City Hall for our Veterans and their families. The VFW Post #7721 and its Auxiliary will host our Veterans and provide refreshments. City Hall is the spot for the filming and where our float judges are stationed.
