Q4 All Partner Meeting

The 4th quarter All Partner Meeting has been moved from December 1st to October 28th to follow the Health Care in Your Future Summit. The event will be a luncheon and cost $15 per person if attending in person. We will be offering a hybrid format so attendees can connect virtually as well and there is no cost for virtual attendance. Cost: $15 for in person, no cost for virtual attendees   Registration is coming soon - please save the date and a formal invitation will follow   The agenda includes reports on: Nursing Shortage Solutions next steps - As part of the initiative brought forward by the Convener Team, two sessions were facilitated to garner input on the regional perspective and identify potential steps toward impacting the shortage. An exciting announcement to support these initiatives is that Larimer County has received an EDA grant that will support a .75 FTE that will specifically be focused on the Nursing Shortage initiative. Houska Automotive's Halloween-themed blood drive

According to the American Red Cross someone in the U.S. needs blood every two seconds. It is this need around the country and specifically in our community that continues to motivate Houska Automotive to host their blood drive. The 20th annual Halloween Blood Drive will take place on Friday, October 29 from 7:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Garth Englund Blood Center, located at 1025 Pennock Place in Fort Collins. SPARK and Studio Arts Boulder Pottery Class

SPARK programs are designed for individuals with neurodegenerative diseases, including dementia, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, who are accompanied by their caregiver or partner. Join SPARK and Studio Arts Boulder for a monthly hand building class on the second Tuesday in November and December at the West Age Well Center. Participants will learn about the three fundamentals of pottery to make functional and whimsical pieces: pinch pots, coils, and slabs. Studio Arts Boulder will supply all materials and tools, and all work will be processed at their Pottery Lab facility. Information will be given during the class about how to collect finished pieces. No experience necessary. This program is sponsored by Boulder Seniors Foundation, Studio Arts Boulder, City of Boulder Older Adult Services and the Alzheimer’s Association.
