2021 Social Security 101 Classes for Older Adults

The PPACG Area Agency on Aging and the Social Security Administration are partnering for the fifth year to present Social Security 101, “Understanding Your Social Security Benefits”.  As people begin to approach Social Security, they may see a flood of information that may or may not be fully accurate.  Josh Weller, a Public Affairs Specialist gives us professional and expert information directly from Social Security Administration.  Our first presentation of the year will be held January 25th at 4:00 PM. Registration is required at ppacg.org/events. All classes are provided at no cost.  The educational presentation is for people approaching retirement age, adult children and interested people.  This session will cover many of the common retirement questions including: * Eligibility for retirement * How age affects retirement benefits * How work affects retirement benefits Also discussed are spousal, children’s, survivor, and disability benefits with the qualifications and application process for each. NEW! Easy Rider Bike Group

This social cycling group for older adults 60+ offers an opportunity for riders of all levels to join an organized ride on a weekly basis. A volunteer leader will lead riders on a different route each week, with a volunteer at the back to ensure no rider is left behind. A rest stop will always be included, usually at a coffee shop or place to get snacks and beverages (self pay). Route mileage will typically be between 12-20 miles. Electronic bikes (E-Bikes) are also welcome but must ride at the group pace. Rides will sometimes leave from the West Age Well Center (909 Arapahoe Ave), and sometimes from other locations around Boulder. NEW! Easy Rider Bike Group

This social cycling group for older adults 60+ offers an opportunity for riders of all levels to join an organized ride on a weekly basis. A volunteer leader will lead riders on a different route each week, with a volunteer at the back to ensure no rider is left behind. A rest stop will always be included, usually at a coffee shop or place to get snacks and beverages (self pay). Route mileage will typically be between 12-20 miles. Electronic bikes (E-Bikes) are also welcome but must ride at the group pace. Rides will sometimes leave from the West Age Well Center (909 Arapahoe Ave), and sometimes from other locations around Boulder. Welcome to Summer 2021!  The Tinley Park Police Department and the Village of Tinley Park invites you to participate in  National Night Out America’s Night Out Against Crime celebration which will take place on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 from 6PM-9PM at Freedom Park, 7835 Timber Drive (East of the Tinley Park Public Library).  This event continues to be an opportunity to meet and greet police officers, law enforcement officers from various agencies, and employees from the  Fire Department, Emergency Management Agency, Public Works and view their vehicles.  In addition there will be community businesses, churches, schools and groups that will be joining in the celebration.  There isn’t a fee to participate, no registration form is needed and spaces are on a first come first serve basis.  Please supply your own table, chair and tent top.  Set up will start at 4:30 PM with National Night Out starting at 6 PM.  Entertainment will be David Fleming Stilt Walker/Balloons/Magic/Juggling Show and DJ Jackie McDonald Whirlwind Karaoke.

NEW! Easy Rider Bike Group

This social cycling group for older adults 60+ offers an opportunity for riders of all levels to join an organized ride on a weekly basis. A volunteer leader will lead riders on a different route each week, with a volunteer at the back to ensure no rider is left behind. A rest stop will always be included, usually at a coffee shop or place to get snacks and beverages (self pay). Route mileage will typically be between 12-20 miles. Electronic bikes (E-Bikes) are also welcome but must ride at the group pace. Rides will sometimes leave from the West Age Well Center (909 Arapahoe Ave), and sometimes from other locations around Boulder.
