Job Summary: The primary purpose of the Lifestyle Assistant is to aid in the execution of the programs and activities that are planned for the residents. The Lifestyle Assistant must possess outstanding customer service skills and display genuine care and concern for our residents while demonstrating the principles and core values that Clearwater Living embraces. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ _

Essential Job Duties: ▪ Attend and assist in planned activities and special events, to include set-up and tear-down and decorating for holidays or special events ▪ Assist with surveying residents and making observations and recommendations to determine what activities are of interest ▪ Encourage residents to attend and participate in activities ▪ Assist in making flyers, calendars, newsletters and updating social media websites as needed ▪ Assist with Marketing events ▪ Work with volunteers such as scheduling, training and organizing day-to-day assignments ▪ Assist with scheduling transportation or driving vehicles as needed ▪ Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately ▪ Comply with Clearwater Living standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient community operations ▪ Display a positive and professional image through actions and maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working ▪ Represent the Clearwater Living principles and core value on a daily basis ▪ Perform other duties and tasks as assigned or required

Knowledge and Skills: ▪ Ability to deal tactfully and professionally at all times with personnel, residents, family members, visitors and the general public ▪ Display excellent communication and listening skills including the ability to speak orally in front of small groups of people ▪ Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action and to remain calm during emergency situations ▪ Reasoning skills that include the ability to understand issues and process information for the purpose of giving and receiving feedback and instructions ▪ Ability to operate basic office equipment including personal computer, scanner, copier, fax machine and proficient with email and Microsoft Office ▪ Compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents’ rights

Requirements: ▪ Ability, licensure and willingness to drive the community vehicle ▪ High School Diploma or GED ▪ AA degree preferred or a minimum of two years of work experience in the industry ▪ First Aid Certification preferred ▪ Background clearances as required by government regulations ▪ Must meet health requirements, including TB

Physical and Mental Demands: ▪ Able to be mobile and perform the physical requirements of the job to include: bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and repetitive motions ▪ Able to move intermittently throughout the work day ▪ Able to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time ▪ Walking up to 5 miles per shift ▪ Ability to lift/carry up to 25 lbs. and push up to 40 lbs. as necessary ▪ Ability to push a resident safely in their wheelchairs and physically assist residents during emergency situations ▪ Able to communicate orally, read, comprehend, and write ▪ Able to understand, remember and follow basic instructions and guidelines and perform basic calculations ▪ Local travel required
