Homeland Hospice hosts special events for the purpose of fundraising, donor recognition, or community education. Volunteers are the heart of these events and play a critical role in pre-planning, set up, registration, greeting, take down and more.
Many of Homeland Hospices special activities and events help us to continue to bring hope to those facing life-limiting illness by allowing us to offer some “extras”. These “extras”, or comfort care services more fully address the range of needs patients and families experience and honor their individual requests. Comfort care services, such as massage, music, beautician services and photography are provided no cost to patients and their families.
Homeland Hospice offers a self-study Hospice Orientation program so you can train as it fits your schedule. Background check and two-step PPD (TB test) are required; costs are covered by Homeland Hospice.
If you would like to assist in making the “extras” possible for our patients, contact Laurie Murry, Volunteer Coordinator, at 717-409-8882 for more information.
