Announcing the Daniel Sprick Retrospective Exhibition at the Madden Museum of ArtFleeting Presence: The Liminal Art of Daniel SprickThe School of Art & Art History at the University of Denver proudly presents "Fleeting Presence: The Liminal Art of Daniel Sprick" at the Madden Museum of Art, located within the Palazzo Verdi building at 6363 S. Fiddlers Green Cir., Greenwood Village, CO 80111. Student curators selected paintings and drawings from nearly four decades of Spricks work. All told, there are 54 works on view showcasing the evolution of Sprick~s artistic practice. The student-curators worked closely with Sprick to develop the exhibition in which they gained valuable insights and hands-on experience. Under the supervision of Dr. Geoffrey Shamos, this immersive practicum provided students with opportunities to learn from local curators and professionals from esteemed institutions such as the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver and the Denver Art Museum.Daniel Sprick~s hyper-realism is characterized by an embrace of uncertainty, uniting seeming opposites life and death, stillness and dynamism, transience and permanence to transform the mundane into the magical and mysterious.
